Joseph Ortiz Opens PuroClean of Reston; Team of Trained, Certified Technicians Available 24/7

Reston, Virginia — (May 4, 2021) – Following years of service in the U.S. Army, Joseph Ortiz has traded in his dress blues for a restoration uniform to serve his local community, becoming the designated local “Paramedic of Property Damage.” With the opening of his PuroClean franchise in Reston, Virginia, Ortiz will lead a team of highly trained technicians to help home and business owners with water, fire, mold, and biohazard removal, including COVID-19 cleanings.

“As a military veteran, it was a natural transition for me to become a franchise owner at PuroClean, who provides services to people during their times of need throughout Fairfax county,” said Ortiz. “Amid the pandemic, our homes and workplaces are our most personal spaces and if I can help someone save their property then I’ve completed my duty.”

Joseph comes to PuroClean with an Associate’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Science from the National Aviation Academy and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Metropolitan University of Puerto Rico. As a U.S. Army Veteran, Joseph has learned much of his leadership skills and discipline from his military career, including his 14-month deployment in Iraq during Operation Freedom. Following his military career, he worked in multiple positions within the aircraft industry, leading him to open his business, DCJets Services LLC, in 2016, which is ranked as one of the top aircraft maintenance companies in North America.
