At the annual Rising Above the Rest Awards breakfast last Friday, the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce (CRICC) did something it has never done before – the prestigious Al Andrews Community Achievement Award went to a municipal official.
HOBOKEN, N.J. – (August 20, 2021) – With the opening of their new PuroClean business in Hoboken, New Jersey, franchise owners Peter Shine and Robert Rodriguez have become the local “Paramedics of Property Damage” for their Northern New Jersey neighborhood. Debuting at a time of increased need for support as hurricane season reaches its peak on the East Coast, with Henri making an unusual landfall in Rhode Island and impacting Coastal New Jersey, the highly trained, certified technicians at PuroClean of Hoboken will help home and business owners with water remediation, fire and smoke damage repair, mold, and biohazard removal. PuroClean of Hoboken will service the Hoboken and Jersey City areas of northern New Jersey, among others.
“Robert and I are honored to be joining the renowned PuroClean network, continuing to provide restoration services to our growing community,” said Shine. “We have been working together in restoration for quite some time. We are excited to now take our services to a greater level with the support of PuroClean as we continue doing what we do for residents in our area.”
Working together for more than 10 years in the restoration and remediation industry, Rodriguez and Shine have converted their prior business into a PuroClean franchise. Rodriguez, a self-proclaimed “Lower East Side kid,” started in the restoration business as a teenager and has remained dedicated to the field throughout his career. Having operated restoration businesses successfully in California, Rodriguez took the leap to open his own business, partnering with Shine, to build a joint venture from the strong relationships they had each made throughout their careers. Shine, a retired NYC police officer from the South Bronx, traded his dress blues for a restoration uniform following an injury. Since then, he has worked hard to build his career in restoration and established an extensive portfolio of clients within various organizations, including the New Jersey Community Association Institute (CAI).
After growing their business to more than $1.8 million in revenue over the past seven years, the pair knew it was time to seek out a stellar franchise network to continue their successes, establishing a plan that would take their company to the next level.
“Our franchise owners know the needs of their communities firsthand and share the concerns of home and business owners in their area, so they truly are able to make an immediate impact out of the gate upon launching their businesses,” said Steve White, President and COO of PuroClean. “We are proud to support Robert and Peter with their conversion into a PuroClean business, and we look forward to watching the great work we know they will do.”
For more than 20 years, PuroClean has helped home and business owners with their restoration and remediation needs, serving communities across the United States and Canada with a network of over 360 offices.
