Restoration and Remediation Franchise Honors Phil Dhargyal (Right) and Tenzin Jigme (Left) for being Top-Performing Franchise in North America During their First Year in Operation

Alexandria, VA (July 14, 2020) – Natives of Tibet, Phil Dhargyal, and Tenzin Jigme, owners of PuroClean of Alexandria, Virginia, were awarded PuroClean’s Rookie of the Year Award during the company’s first-ever virtual PuroClean Awards Ceremony, broadcast live from the PuroClean Corporate Headquarters in Tamarac, Florida, last month. Dhargyal and Jigme were recognized for having the highest sales percentage growth in 2019, out of all new franchise owners within their first year of business.

“This award means a lot to us, and we’re honored that our hard work has paid off within our first year of joining the PuroClean franchise,” said Dhargyal. “To us as Tibetan refugees and new entrepreneurs, this award shows that you can accomplish your goals and achieve esteemed acknowledgments, such as Rookie of the Year, without being a native to the country, and we’re proud to showcase the American dream to our families.”

After coming to the United States as refugees from Tibet, Phil Dhargyal and Tenzin Jigme worked as project managers in the restoration industry prior to opening PuroClean of Alexandria in August 2018. Now, the friends continue to operate their Alexandria location as well as their second franchise, PuroClean of McLean and West Falls Church. This team continues to achieve the American dream, building a successful business by maintaining a commitment to provide relentless customer service.  A commitment developed and maintained that remains just as strong to those they serve in their local community, following the Dalai Lama’s belief system of treating others with respect and compassion. The duo’s services include water damage remediation, flood water removal, fire and smoke damage remediation, mold removal, and biohazard cleanup.

“Phil and Tenzin represent the passion, drive, and dedication we look for in PuroClean franchise owners as they embark on a journey to serve people during times of need,” said Steve White, PuroClean President & COO. “Their unwavering determination for helping their community and desire to provide relentless customer service are two of the many factors that go into being able to achieve this prestigious award. We look forward to watching them grow and support other franchise owners on what it takes to become entrepreneurs in today’s world.”

PuroClean has become one of the leading restoration franchise companies in the nation. Each year, PuroClean performs thousands of jobs throughout the United States and Canada, providing restoration services from common household mishaps to large-scale disasters.
