Who is Flat Walter?

If you’ve spent time around PuroClean Teams in recent years, chances are you’ve seen a small but mighty figure making surprise appearances—from flooded basements to community events to company celebrations. His name? Flat Walter.

Flat Walter was introduced in the summer of 2023 as part of the Walter and The Flats Summer Campaign—a playful yet purposeful initiative inspired by Flat Stanley, the beloved children’s book character whose adventures sparked a nationwide literacy movement. The campaign was even featured in Cleanfax Magazine, highlighting how this flat, pocket-sized companion quickly became a familiar face on job sites, at events, and in community outreach across North America.

It all began at the annual PuroClean International Convention in 2023, where Flat Walter made his debut during the PuroWomen’s Growth Group workshop—a gathering dedicated to empowering and advancing female leaders in the restoration industry. Enthusiastically embraced by the workshop participants, he was soon introduced to the rest of the Convention, with attendees from across the network taking him into their communities to launch vibrant campaigns that helped spread PuroClean’s spirit and positivity.

But Flat Walter quickly became more than just a mascot. He became a symbol of the PuroClean brand, representing positivity, leadership, and the commitment to helping people through their toughest moments.
